Last week (September 18-21, 2024), our library manager, Matej Sakač, participated in the 52nd BETH (European Theological Libraries) Conference in Sarajevo. The conference theme was “Sustainability of European Theological Libraries”. Representatives of other European theological librarian associations and libraries were present, as well as directors of the ATLA database and the DTL online library for theological faculties.
The conference served as a meeting point for sharing new ideas on networking, support, and launching Erasmus+ projects for the future of BETH. The host was Irena Pejić, librarian at the Catholic Theological Faculty in Sarajevo, while the conference took place at the Gazi Husrev-Bey Library.
Our library and institution belong to such an organization to be recognized as a significant resource for academic research in Southeastern Europe.
