Last weekend, on November 3rd and 4th, 2023, the 25th anniversary of the Biblical Institute of Zagreb (BIZG) was solemnly celebrated in Zagreb under the title “A Journey of Service, Gratitude, and Hope.” This event, which gathered numerous participants from Croatia and abroad, from various denominations, churches, institutions, and organizations, showcased the history, current work, and future vision of BIZG through a rich program.
On the first day, the history of BIZG’s development was presented, along with gratitude for all previous lecturers and staff. Former students of the Institute also shared their experiences. The entire program was accompanied by musical performances by local Christian musicians, and a sermon was delivered by Dr. Mark Lanier on the theme “Walking with Jesus in Unity.”
The second day of the program opened with a panel discussion on the theme “The Future of Evangelical Christianity,” in which Dr. David Kovačević, Vice Dean of our University, participated on behalf of the Church of God in Croatia. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Danijel Časni, an external collaborator at the University. In presenting collaborations with organizations and ministries, Dr. Dalibor Kraljik, the Dean of the University, addressed the audience, speaking about the long-standing friendship, partnership, and cooperation between ETVOS and BIZG. Jeremy Bohall, a lecturer at the University, also addressed the audience on behalf of the Bible365 organization. In presenting BIZG’s cooperation with churches, the collaboration with the Evangelical Church in Sarajevo and Pastor Saša Nikolinović, a student of the University, was highlighted. The ceremony concluded with a sermon by Dr. Lanier on the theme “Walking with Jesus as Children of God” and a joint prayer from the attendees.
