We were part of Lausanne Europe 2023: the meeting in Budapest took place from November 2 to 5, 2023. In a group of about 150 participants gathered in 35 teams from 37 countries across Europe, from Turkey to Ukraine and Moldova, discussions were held in 12 sessions, and 30 speakers presented.
The meeting was also attended by a five-member team from Croatia: Ratko Medan, pastor of EPC Stijena Spasenja, Zagreb; Nina Jankucić, Roma Networks; Filip Karaj, BC Dubrava; Kristijan Cinotti, Mazars Cinotti Audit, Zagreb, and Julijana Tesija, Vice Dean for International Cooperation at ETVOS.
Gathered around the overarching theme of the Dynamic Gospel and the Future of Europe, we discussed the challenges and mission of churches in a society strongly influenced by secularism, the need for unity and networking, recognizing the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and empowering the youth and all other members of our communities to actively participate in building the Kingdom.
The foundation of the meeting and all discussions was the Acts of the Apostles, which were read daily multiple times and in several European languages, allowing us to hear the Word in the languages of other nations (Albanian, Bulgarian, Estonian, Icelandic, Maltese, Norwegian, Serbian, Italian, Greek, Irish, etc.).
We worked diligently in our group, as well as in a larger regional group that emerged as our initiative, and we individually networked with other friends from all over Europe.
