On Saturday, September 30, 2023, the Assembly of the Evangelical Pentecostal Church in the Republic of Croatia (EPC in Croatia) was held in Orahovica. Representatives from local churches, election delegates, and other distinguished guests from all over Croatia participated. This year’s Assembly was an electoral one, in which Pastor Damir Špoljarić was re-elected as president of EPC in Croatia for a new four-year term. Pastor Laslo Hornjik was elected as vice president, and Pastor Dean Tomić as secretary. Along with these leaders, who are also members of the Presbytery of EPC in Croatia by their positions, four additional members of the Presbytery were elected: Mrs. Eva Husak-Bačac, Pastor Goran Punda, Pastor Jure Dohnal, and Pastor Oliver Buljat.
The Assembly was attended by Jeremy Bohall, a lecturer and collaborator at the Evangelical Theological College (ETC), and Dr. Greg Thellman, vice dean for teaching and science at ETC, who were there representing their local churches. Dr. Peter Kuzmič, retired dean of ETC, and Dr. Dalibor Kraljik, dean of ETC, were guests at this esteemed gathering.
In his address, Dr. Kuzmič introduced Dr. Kraljik in his new role. Dean Kraljik, while congratulating the newly elected president Špoljarić and the elected members of the Presbytery, thanked EPC for its long-term support and collaboration with ETC and called for continued cooperation, partnership, and mutual prayer support in the future. The Assembly concluded with a prayer fellowship and the Lord’s Supper.
