Today, January 27th, at 10 AM, wreaths were laid in memory of the Holocaust victims in front of the “Mother and Child” monument by Osijek sculptor Oskar Nemon at Gajev Square in Osijek. The event was organized by the Jewish Community of Osijek and included the participation of representatives from city and regional authorities, associations, and citizens. Representing our college, Ms. Judita Paljević Kraljik, head of the Institute for Christian Music and Worship, attended the event.

Today marks the day when, on January 27, 1945, the Red Army liberated the largest Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz in Poland. This day has been declared the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. In raising awareness of the sufferings of the past so that the future may be wiser and more merciful, the Evangelical Theological College joins in.
