Graduate – Entry requirements and mode of study

A candidate for admission to a graduate study program must have completed a professional or undergraduate study program of theology.

A candidate for a graduate study program must have a good command of the English language (English language testing is mandatory for all students whose native language is not English).

In case that a candidate does not have a professional or undergraduate study of theology, he or she may enroll in a graduate study program of theology after taking the differential subjects that will be determined by the Seminary, taking into account his or her previous education.

To enroll in a graduate study program, candidates must submit documentation of previous education, submit an academic paper, and a motivational essay. The study program can be enrolled by candidates who have already completed the appropriate undergraduate study program and achieved 180 ECTS credits. Candidates are enrolled based on the average grade achieved at the previous level of education and on the basis of evidence of motivation, academic literacy, and knowledge of the English language.

Those candidates for admission to a graduate study program who have completed their previous undergraduate study program at another institution, but in a related field, may apply and enroll in the study program without the obligation to take differential exams. Candidates who have completed undergraduate studies that are not related to theology may apply and enroll in the study program, if they meet the other requirements, but the Seminary will determine the obligation to take differential exams. Differential exams include taking all basic and mandatory courses that the candidate has not previously taken and passed at the previous institution.

The study is conducted as a regular and extension program, both for citizens of the Republic of Croatia, and for students who come to study from other European countries, but also from other continents.
