Richer with numerous updates you may have noticed in our work over the past year, you can expect even more in the upcoming period: new activities, exhibitions, book promotions, concerts, alongside our already existing and new outstanding lecturers, a new website, new programs, new courses, new collaborations, and much more. One of the novelties is that our University of Applied Sciences is getting a fresh look, and today we exclusively present the first step in our new visual identity—our new logo!
The logo is rich in symbolism, with the designer drawing special inspiration from the biblical verse Mt 24:35: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” The logo is divided into Heaven and Earth, connected at the center by the Word, upon which the flame of the Holy Spirit rests, “igniting” our new look with its vibrant color. The stylized “T” reminds us of Christ’s cross, while ETVOS and ETSOS parallelly inscribe the pages of our history, reflecting our strong bilingual and international identity. The emphasized, stylized “OS” honors our beloved city of Osijek, and the inscription MCMLXXII highlights our more than half-century-long tradition of educating people for ministry, society, and life. Together, all of these elements form a solid shield—an enduring biblical symbol of God’s protection, defense, and faith.
We are grateful to the designer and to everyone whose ideas contributed to shaping our new visual identity, and most of all to God for His inspiration and the gift of creativity that comes from Him.
