Advent Held in Donji grad

Published: December 24, 2024

On Saturday, December 14th, for the second year in a row, the Advent in the Donji grad was held at our Seminary. Despite the rainy clouds, there was no shortage of joy, laughter, socializing, and warmth accompanied by hot beverages, delicious pastries, and excellent music! We announced the winners for the best-decorated Christmas trees (congratulations to Team Svjetiljke and STEP Osijek), played a few games with our students and Royal Rangers Croatia, decorated Christmas cookies under the guidance of the Cookie Factory team, and created plenty of ornaments in the workshops! To take a break from all these activities, we enjoyed a play, listened to a few stories, and added some winter and Christmas-themed face painting.

The evening ended as a wonderful gathering of friends, neighbors, and families, showcasing the true importance of the Advent and Christmas season – celebrating the living God.

We also managed to do the most important thing on time – delivering the decorated Christmas trees to each of the 12 organizations! You can see for yourselves how much our students enjoyed participating in this and how joyfully the organizations received the trees.

A big thank you to Chef’s Corner for the finger-licking delicious pizzas, our exhibitors from Centar Klasje Osijek, KUD Slavonija, and other participants for their beautifully crafted handmade items, and Auto Kelava d.o.o. for ensuring the transport of the decorated trees.

We bring you a glimpse of the atmosphere, and the entire album is available on our Facebook profile.
