Today, we were visited by a delegation from the Italian Chinese Theological Seminary, Rome, Italy, which was founded in 2022 by a consortium of 55 Chinese Christian churches in Italy. The delegation was accompanied by our dear collaborator, Dr. Ankica Marinović, and the connection was initiated by Dr. Ivo Josipović.
Led by Dean Prof. Liang Jialin and Secretary Liang Yanming, the delegation first attended the Student Worship service and listened to the Word of God shared by the overseer of the Church of God in Croatia, Bishop Matej Lazar Kovačević, from Acts 8.
This was followed by a visit to the library, children’s corner, and the adult section, guided by Matej Sakač, the head librarian of our institution.
In a meeting with Vice Deans, Dr. Greg Thellman, Dr. David Kovačević, and Julijana Tesija, MTh/Drs, we discussed theological education, accreditation processes, the importance of teaching and being rooted in God’s Word, and openness to the wider community.
We agreed that they would return, accompanied by students.
Finally, they visited the Evangelical Pentecostal Church in Osijek and learned about its history.
This meeting was a blessing and an edification for both the delegation and us, and we look forward to future cooperation and mutual growth in our Lord.
