Visit of Students to the “Duga” Rehabilitation Center

Published: November 25, 2024

This past weekend, from November 22nd to 24th, 2024, our three students Dominik Jurić, David Doci, and Ismir Zigic, along with their colleague librarian Debora Svirčev and her husband Srdjan Svirčev, visited the rehabilitation center “Duga” at the Protestant Christian Fellowship – Novi Sad in Novi Sad and Temerin.

The purpose of this trip was the practical service of our students in the center, which focuses on the rehabilitation of individuals struggling with various forms of addiction to drugs, alcohol, gambling, and more. We wanted to serve those in need of help in their daily work, but also engage in conversations about God, in Christian fellowship of hope and joy, and in the Word and Spirit.

In our free time, we had the opportunity to visit the Petrovaradin Fortress and tour the center of Novi Sad, and on Sunday evening, we participated in the worship service at the Protestant Christian Fellowship. This experience was enriching and constructive for the students and for all of us, as we were all blessed beyond measure – the Lord is our Shepherd (Psalm 23:1).
