Dear colleagues and friends of our Seminary,
while another year of the Lord draws to a close, we look with gratitude at what is behind us, what the Lord has done in our life, work and service, and with joy and anticipation we turn to what is in front of us, to all that He still has for us in his rich treasury of blessings.
And let this Christmas season be a time of our special gratitude and focus on the One that is the true reason of Christmas, to the real and true God, the Son of God, who decided to dwell among us, to be one of us, and who decided to give himself for us.
And while in this holiday mood and in the coming days we give each other gifts, in doing so, let us remember the true meaning and significance of it, as well as the saving Gift, the gift of eternal life offered to us. The gift is generously offered, but it is up to the recipient to decide whether to accept or reject it … Because, “truly, God so loved the world and gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
May this gospel message and the essence and truth of Christmas always be a blessing to us, an encouragement to surrender to God and serve God and others, especially on the festive days that are before us.
I wish you, on behalf of the employees of the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek and myself, a merry Christmas, God’s peace and a blessed year in 2024.
Dr. Dalibor Kraljik,
Dean of the Evangelical Theological Seminary
