On October 28, 2024, a regular assembly session of the Protestant Evangelical Council in the Republic of Croatia (PEV) was held at our University College, with Dean Dalibor Kraljik attending in his capacity as PEV General Secretary. PEV President Damir Spoljaric welcomed the attendees and greeted them in Osijek, while Pastor Laci Hornyik opened the session with a word of encouragement from Isaiah 40:31, reminding those present of the calling they have received, as well as the ministry and vision God has given them.
During the session, a report was presented on the activities of the previous period, which were mutually supported and attended. Additionally, a plan of work and activities for PEV in the upcoming period was outlined. Discussions were held on “renewing” PEV by involving younger church leaders in its work and presence at sessions, as they could contribute to its efforts and activities.
Furthermore, among other topics, the session addressed current issues and challenges common to all PEV member denominations. A willingness was expressed to strengthen fellowship and collaboration in overcoming these challenges.
