The XIII. Meeting of Baptists in the Republic of Croatia, titled “By Word and Deed,” and the celebration of 150 years of Baptist testimony in Zagreb, were held on October 7-8, 2023. More than 700 believers from Baptist churches, as well as members of other evangelical churches, participated in the event’s rich program over two days. Along with numerous testimonies and reflections on God’s work among Baptists in Croatia, the meeting showcased various creative works by Baptist believers, publishing initiatives, and the activities of different Christian organizations. The first day of the meeting concluded with a worship service and sermon by Pastor Filip Grujić of the BC Zagreb.

On the second day, a joint worship service of Baptist and other evangelical churches was held, during which the joint ministry of religious education from several churches of the Reformation heritage was presented, along with work on a monograph about the history of the Zagreb Baptists, humanitarian work, and efforts with refugees. Pastor Ivica Horvat, a member of the Governing Board of the Evangelical Theological University, delivered the sermon. The joint service was attended by Dr. Dalibor Kraljik, Dean of the Evangelical Theological University, who greeted the participants on behalf of the University and the Protestant Evangelical Council in his role as General Secretary, and led the opening prayer.
