The Encounter of the Worlds of Art and Faith

Published: March 27, 2025

Yesterday, we discussed the encounter between the worlds of art and faith. Our guests were Andrada Lolu (Romania), an artist in our College’s residency program, as well as Jakov Balint-Feudvarski, a student and music composer, and Julijana Tesija, lecturer, philosopher, and poet.

The artists emphasized that art is an authentic and often deeply personal expression, where imagination and knowledge are intertwined with the experience of a “lasting moment.” Art is often a “meeting with God in prayer,” yet it cannot exist without an audience, a community that receives it, and above all, without God, as it is His gift.

The event was moderated by Judita Paljević Kraljik, head of our Institute for Christian Music and Worship.
